Cycle Route Downend has been born from the need and desire for all things cycling. We have been the local bike store in Downend since we opened our doors in December 2013 and we want that to continue, grow and become the hub we can all use and enjoy.
We are here for all cyclists – a local independent bicycle store that aims to cater for all, run by local bike riding enthusiasts who know the area and know their product. We trust that our staff involvement will always manifest itself in the form of friendly and informed professional advice whenever you visit our shop or give us a call.

What I ride: My main passion on bikes is racing 4X mountain biking at national and international level but I also just love getting out and riding a bit of downhill, enduro, trails anything off road and fun. I've been riding for 20 odd years so I've had a go at pretty much anything you can do on 2 wheels in my time.
Bikes owned: Mondraker Summum Pro Carbon for DH, Commencal Meta 4X and Yeti DJ both with amazing custom paint jobs done by local guys at 7 Pot Customs. There's also enough spares accumulated over the years to build a couple other bikes probably.
Favourite place to ride: Locally I love Leigh Woods for natural fun short rides, nationally Rheola forest in south Wales for downhill and Glentress in scotland for general trails.

What I ride: Predominantly commuting at the moment, although getting my 3 year old out and about on his Hotwalk is becoming more of a regular thing.
Bikes owned: Roux A8 for the commute, with every single thing you can bolt onto a bike, bolted onto it. I also have a Stumpy FSR.
Favourite place to ride: The woods and forestries behind Maesteg, over to Afan and the Bwlch. The Lake district, around Coniston, is loads of fun, too.
